A Lesson for Republicans
An interesting thing has happened in Ripon, Wisconsin on March 20, 1854, he got together with former members of the Whig Party and founded the Republican Party. By 1856, they had their first presidential candidate, John C. Fremont run. Given the fact that this took place in a time when it is quite a bit 'more to go around with the word, which is pretty impressive.
In just over six years, the Republicans had one of them, Abraham Lincoln elected president. Now everyone knowsAbraham Lincoln was, but not all that many of you may know the Whigs. The fact of the matter is, they have lost contact with their time, and the most talented members of the party went to the Whig Party to write a little more than a footnote in history books as some. A bit 'like, well, the Republican Party today.
Abraham Lincoln
The people belong to a political party, because they perceive that they and the party to hold the same values. If the party out, that there are certain human values andlearn that the values are no longer as something that refers to the party every election cycle are leaving the party. Once again seems to be what it is, the Republican Party is happening today.
From Dede Scozzafava, a candidate who probably brought a feast for the eyes tear Nancy Pelosi has fallen from 23 Congressional District race in New York so that he could, of course, support his Democratic rival, the Republicans have only their arms wrapped around Doug Hoffman.Which by the way has become a conservative / Republican, during the night. Mrs. Scozzafava was appointed by the local Republican party machine for the Congress to run. If the local machine is not in tune with the values expected of the Republican Party, who made the nomination of candidates in the first place?
The Talking Heads are of course say that this is just to show that there is no place for moderates in the Party of the Republic - as it happens to be a wealth ofthat in the Democratic Party - but they are wrong. After all, the Republicans really nothing more than a contempt for his party's base, and one that does nothing but focus on the Democrats for approval are. This is what the Republican Party today.
Not really do not see the need for two parties that have a guide to see things in much the same way, and clearly see that the leadership has to fight the Democrats over the Republican PartyI would recommend that the Republicans close the shop and the Whigs. For those of you who really values the Republicans have presented, but indicated that was not the Case, go to join the Conservative Party and the things found.
A Lesson for RepublicansSod Lincoln Highway - 1915 Video Clips. Conceived by entrepreneur spotlight Fisher said the car the first time in U.S. history, the man who seems like many Americans, a visionary in the eternal search for the production is the almighty dollar. In fact, the Lincoln Highway was the first monument to Abraham Lincoln in front of the monumentWashington, DC, maybe more than ten years. Although Thomas Edison and Theodore Roosevelt were repeaters and active supporters of the idea of Fisher, it is difficult to say whether these are the two men in which they are in this movie. Hundreds of cities to advertise in the United States Lincoln Highway have their way with songs, articles and events focused on the pass between the new government. This looks like a movie. Ultimately, the highway should follow a historical American by The TimesSquare in New York City, are along the Turnpike Chambersburg to Gettysburg, then together with parts of the legendary Pony Express, up and over Donner Pass and the dreaded final destination of Lincoln Park in San Francisco, California. Lincoln on Leadership - A Review
No U.S. president before or after, the leadership challenges faced by Abraham Lincoln. He did not have a happy life before his election. A certain degree of success in his small office in Illinois was a sharp contrast with the background a bit 'lower in business and politics. Determined to bring the active head of the armed forces of the United States in the war, he had no real military experience. We are told that his voice was a step higher than normal for the politicians and has often been describedas "comfortable". Let nothing like it bothers him, he ran for election to the office in a time when events seemed certain to mean the end of the Union.
Lincoln on Leadership, Donald T. Phillips masterfully captures the style of leadership of Lincoln with whom he has met with success in the country. Lincoln's presidency began in conflict, when Washington was secreted under the threat to his life. The issue of slavery from the days of creation and painful state of LincolnPreviously, Buchanan had given everything, but to solve the given problem. With the opening of the 16th president has been launched and the war was certain.
Abraham Lincoln
In this national stage is set for a disaster Abraham Lincoln was aware of a single brand and leadership. For his task even more difficult, has little of his cabinet. Phillips tells the story of Secretary Stanton, a critic of Lincoln in a faithful supporter and friend had become. Of courseLincoln difficulty with the senior general is legendary, and Lincoln Phillips relates process of sent them a chance, but in the end, burning or pushed aside, if he was not satisfied with their lack of aggressiveness of success.
Although sometimes the disappointment of the most experienced politician, was "telling it is" known for his approach. He practically invented what we know to come as "management by walking." He regularly attended theArmy in the field and ignore the dangers, and the enemy fire, once again received. He took his job as commander in chief seriously, to the point of actually leading troops in the field, to make one of only two U.S. presidents. (The first was George Washington during the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794)
Phillips has found his work on several characteristics of leadership that has divided Lincoln. He has conducted research in discontinued and provides perfect examples of each characteristic. In order to moreModern and well-known management writers, he meets the education of today's business situations that show how to apply the lessons easily than a century and a half ago to today's world.
Every year hundreds of new guide books on the shelves and a good student of leadership should do their best to have always fresh and current. But there are some works that are classics in the field and deserve to be read and reread. Lincoln on Leadership is such a book. InAs I reread the book on this post, I realized that many of the leadership lessons I've learned over the years have been written here. Should I consider this book more often! Lincoln on Leadership is certainly a book that all leaders, be they experts, is to begin to understand and appreciate their own.

Success Quotes - Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln is widely regarded as the greatest American president. I think one of the reasons why he was seen by many Poles as the greatest, that took America through its toughest. Please note that during the Civil War, both the winners and the losers were American. Lincoln's story is remarkable and unique among the people.
One thing that is important to remember about Abe, is that it was probably a lot more mistakes in his life when it happened.
Abraham Lincoln
Hereare some of the famous words that came from the mouth of "Honest Abe".
"At the end is not the year of your life that count. It's the life in your years."
The fundamental choice in life is to wear out or rust. Life comes to an end and that is what you want to have a look back? Lincoln did not have time to look at his life before his sudden end in the hands of John Wilkes Booth. I wonder if he would have thought that he lived his life to be profitable. At the time of LincolnDeath, there was a nation (in God) and a proclamation of emancipation. It would not matter if he had accomplished much in his life before the presidency. The things he has achieved (or keep), while he was president in the history books as possible, the most important American who ever lived.
"The best thing for the future is that it comes one day at a time."
I suspect that there is enough bad news every 24 hours during the Civil WarThey were grateful that there are only 24 hours in a day.
"You can fool everyone for a while, and the people all the time, but not all the people all the time."
All men can not be wrong. Politics, as practiced for generations and generations have always involved say politicians / candidates their constituents one thing and then another. At some point you realize that you are incapable of thinking as some representativeThe behavior is to do just that. Then you have to vote for someone else.
"I will prepare and someday my chance will come."
Many people think that one day will be an opportunity, and that will change his life forever. I'm sure that happens from time to time. Most of the time people have to be ready for use or be able to take a chance. If you do not have an education as if it had the opportunity to be trained in necessary? You have to prepare, so thatYou can take advantage when opportunity offers.
"If you're a man, to gain your cause, first convince them that you are his sincere friend of his."
In business, some of the most successful characters who have faith in people. These are the people that people want to do business with. This means that all the business skills and competencies in the background, your skills and your people interested in real people.
"It 's my experience that people who have no vices have veryfew virtues. "
I think it's pretty immature to expect anyone to be perfect. We live in a world with real people and real yield to these temptations temptations. If you look at the performance of a person for loss of resistance that could not be forgiven.
"Most people are about as happy as they are in their heads."
Do you? We all live in the same world. We see many of the same events. When our glass is half full, it looks for the positiveLife. When our glass is half empty, look for the negative. Both the positive and negative are in abundance. What do we focus?
"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you test a man's character, give him power."
How a man treats another when he has nothing to gain or lose from it in both Cases, is a measure of character. If you treat people differently because you are in a certain position on them, then maybe you are not yet ready forAuthority.
"No man has enough memory to make a successful liar."
Hopefully this is a lesson learned in childhood. Kids usually only start or continue the practice because they feel there are around them, from someone who has influence over them. Usually find people to keep a lot more with your lies than it is to say only the truth.
"When I hear anyone arguing for slavery I feel a strong impulse to see tried on him personally."
Now, would not be a quick solution for slavery? Only've everyone wanted to serve as slaves, a slave owner for a while '. They quickly lose their taste for a slave, could soon lose their taste for a slave owner.
It was a pretty unique individual. He had an extraordinary spirit that gave you an overview of his intelligence, wisdom and humor. You do not often find the apartment of three qualities together in harmony in a person's life.

!1: Now is the time Abraham Lincoln Order Today!
Best-selling author James M. McPherson follows the son of Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks from his early years in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois, to his highly successful law career, his marriage to Mary Todd, and his one term in Congress. We witness his leadership of the Republican anti-slavery movement, his famous debates with Stephen A. Douglas (a long acquaintance and former rival for the hand of Mary Todd), and his emergence as a candidate for president in 1860. Following Lincoln's election to the presidency, McPherson describes his masterful role as Commander in Chief during the Civil War, the writing of the Emancipation Proclamation, and his assassination by John Wilkes Booth. The book also discusses his lasting legacy and why he remains a quintessential American hero two hundred years after his birth, while an annotated bibliography permits easy access to further scholarship. With his ideal short account of Lincoln, McPherson provides a compelling biography of a man of humble origins who preserved our nation during its greatest catastrophe and ended the scourge of slavery.
